When Woodstone Country Club wanted something special and unique this year for their annual Member/Guest they called upon Mittman Entertainment. We put something together very special and very unique. We brought in one of the most popular oldies bands in the country – The Main Street Cruisers – featuring Lenny Longo, lead vocalist and guitarist of Bill Haley’s Comets. There was a special guest appearance by Elvis (Johnny M.), TV’s Rock and Roll Dancestand Host Mike Mittman, and the Dancestand USA Dancers. Dancestand USA is a 1950s and 60s TV dance party mirroring the sights, sounds, and songs that were “The Golden Age of Rock and Roll.” Steve Mittman was the Event Host for the night and played the hottest Top 40 hits in between sets. The combination of all this great music was awesome; the night was a blast for all ages.
Mittman Entertainment provided all the lighting for the stage production, as well as ambient LED uplighting and computer-controlled intelligent lighting for the dance party. We even had a crazy strobing spotlight on the drummer for his wild solo. We had large-screen LED TVs displaying footage from 50s sock hops, ambient videos, and real footage from several seaport cities (it was a cruise ship themed event). In fact, in keeping with the vacationing theme, VIP Vacations Inc. gave away a trip for 2 lucky people to an all inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya.
Woodstone’s brand new Lodge is an incredible venue and the food was out-of-this world. The GM, Mr. David Ray, and Banquet Manager, Brenda Hess, are great to work with. We’re looking forward to many wonderful affairs in the future at their new facility.
